Developmental Disabilities Program
CSS Healthcare Services offers services for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families within the metro-Atlanta area and surrounding counties. Services are authorized through the Division of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (BHDD). The individual’s services are based on the service descriptions identified through the New Options Waiver (NOW) and the Comprehensive Support Waivers (COMP) and the person’s Individual Support Plan (ISP).
The NOW/COMP Waiver, formerly Mental Retardation Waiver Program (MRWP), is a Medicaid waiver that provides individuals with developmental disabilities the opportunity to receive services within their community. The purpose of this waiver is to provide community supports to individuals with developmental disabilities in hopes that they will build relationships with people other than those who are paid to provide supports.
Services provided by CSS Healthcare include:
Community Living Supports (CLS ) - offers services for individuals that live in their home. The individual will be assisted with activities such as:
Services provided under the SOURCE/CCSP program may include:
- Decision making support
- Oversight
- Implementation and assistance with ISP goals
- Community Integration
- Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Assistance with medication
Community Residential Alternative Services (CRA) - provides individuals with 24 hour residential supports in daily living activities, life skills, and household chores. CSS provides staff training and supervision in the home.
